Please tell us about what do you do and how long you have been doing it.
My responsibilities as a manufacturing engineer include developing manufacturing processes, leading development projects, purchasing equipment and tooling, and many other tasks that vary day to day. My time in the field has just begun and I look forward to many years to come.
How did you get into your career in manufacturing?
A good friend of mine talked me into switching my career path to manufacturing engineering after my third year of studying civil engineering. I couldn’t have made a better decision.
How would you describe a typical day at work?
A typical day is hectic and exciting. My line of work includes many variables. You never know what a day of work is going to bring you. Lately it has been developing new production cells to grow the company.
What do you love most about what you do for your job?
What I enjoy most about my job is the constant problem solving. With development work, there are many unknowns that need to be discovered. There has not been a day of work where I have not grown my skillset and learned something new. On top of all of that, it is pretty neat to be involved with some of the most sophisticated CNC machining centers the industry has to offer.
